Fax Accounts
Executive Summary
Fax Accounts is the setup screen where administrators define the fax numbers the system can send faxes from, and which provider delivers them. Each account records the fax number, the provider (Telnyx, eFax, Email, or Dropbox Fax), and the credentials the provider needs. Administrators can also send a one-page test fax from any account to confirm it works.
Key Features
- List the configured fax accounts with the date they were added and who added them
- Add, edit, and delete fax accounts (requires the Edit permission)
- Supply a provider API key (hidden by default, with a button to reveal it) for Telnyx, eFax, and Dropbox Fax accounts
- For the Email provider, choose which email account sends the fax and enter the fax email address
- Send a test fax to a recipient number and see the result
Typical Workflow
- Click Add.
- Choose the Provider and enter the Fax Number.
- Enter the API Key (Telnyx, eFax, Dropbox Fax), or for Email choose the Email Account To Use and enter the Email Address.
- Click Save.
- To test, select the account row and click Send Test Fax (or right-click the row and choose Send Test Fax), confirm the Recipient Fax Number, and click Ok.

The following permissions are available to be assigned to AlayaCare Roles:

Main Grid
The grid lists the configured fax accounts, 14 rows per page.

| Provider | Delivery provider for the account. |
| Added | Date and time the account was added, in the tenant time zone. |
| Added By | User who added the account. |
| Manage Records | Edit and delete icons for the row. |
Actions

| Send Test Fax | Opens the Send Test Fax dialog for the selected row. If no row is selected, "Select a fax account to test" is shown. |

| Delete icon (row) | Asks "Are you sure you want to delete this fax account?" and deletes it when confirmed. Requires the Edit permission. |

| Send Test Fax (right-click a row) | Opens the Send Test Fax dialog for that row. |
Users without the Edit permission see "You are not authorized to add or edit fax accounts" (or "...to delete fax accounts").

Fax Account
Opens from Add or when a row is edited.

| API Key | Shown for Telnyx, eFax, and Dropbox Fax. The key is shown masked; click the * button beside it to show or hide it. The key is stored encrypted. |

| Email Address | Shown for Email. The email address used for the fax. Required. |
Click Save to save or Cancel to close without saving.
Send Test Fax
Opens for the selected account. From Fax Number and Provider are shown for reference and cannot be changed. Recipient Fax Number starts as the account's own number; change it to the number that should receive the test. Click Ok to send a one-page "Test Fax" showing the from number, to number, provider, and send time. A success message ("Test Fax Sent") or a failure message with the provider's error is shown.
