Menu Types
Executive Summary
Menu Types is a setup list of the meal menu types (for example regular, diabetic, or vegetarian) that the organization uses. Administrators add new menu types, change their descriptions, mark them as discontinued, or delete them. The list is maintained inside the integration only; nothing on this screen is sent to AlayaCare.

- List all menu types in order by type, with who added each one and when
- Add a new menu type with a type and a description
- Edit the type and description of an existing menu type
- Mark a menu type as discontinued; the system records who discontinued it and when, and clears that information if the menu type is reinstated
- Delete a menu type after confirmation
Typical Workflow
- Open Menu Types to see the existing list.
- Click Add to create a menu type, or click the edit icon (or right-click a row and choose Edit) to change one.
- Enter the Type and Description, tick Is Discontinued if the menu type is no longer offered, and click Save.
- To remove a menu type entirely, click the delete icon (or right-click and choose Delete) and confirm.

Main Grid
Lists every menu type, sorted by type (9 rows per page).

| id | Menu type number assigned by the system. |
| type | Menu type name or code. |
| description | Description of the menu type. |
| addDt | Date and time the menu type was added, in your time zone. |
| addUsername | User who added the menu type. |
| isDiscontinued | Checked when the menu type is discontinued. |
| discontinuedDt | Date and time the menu type was discontinued (blank if active). |
| discontinuedUsername | User who discontinued the menu type (blank if active). |
| Manage Records | Edit and delete icons for the row. |
Actions

| Add | Opens the Menu Type dialog to create a new menu type. |
| Edit (row icon, or right-click a row) | Opens the Menu Type dialog for the selected row. |
| Delete (row icon, or right-click a row) | Asks "Are you sure you want to delete this menu type?" and, on confirmation, removes the menu type. |

Menu Type
Opens from Add or Edit. Use Save to store your changes or Cancel to close without saving.

| Is Discontinued | Tick to discontinue the menu type. When ticked, Discontinued By and Discontinued On show who discontinued it and when (read-only; filled in when you save). Unticking it on a discontinued menu type clears these two values. |
When a new menu type is saved, the system records the user and the date and time it was added.
