OHRS Functional Centres
Executive Summary
OHRS Functional Centres shows the list of OHRS (Ontario Healthcare Reporting Standards) functional centre codes held in the system and lets administrators decide which centres are enabled and which AlayaCare departments are mapped to them. Each centre carries its provincial sector code and up to five account segments. Opening a centre shows its mapped departments, its centre extensions, and the statistical accounts that apply to it. The codes themselves are reference data and cannot be edited here; only the enabled status and the department mapping can be changed.
Key Features
- Browse all functional centres with their provincial sector code, enabled status, mapped department count, and segment codes
- Filter by code, description, status (enabled or disabled), and mapping status (mapped or unmapped)
- Enable or disable a centre (a centre in use on a department cannot be disabled)
- Map and unmap departments to a centre in bulk, setting the provincial sector code and fund type for newly mapped departments
- Review a centre's departments, centre extensions, and statistical accounts
Typical Workflow

- Click the edit icon on the row (or right-click the row and choose Edit).

Bulk Department Mapping
Opens from Bulk Department Mapping on the Departments tab. It lists departments that are not mapped to any centre, plus those already mapped to this centre.
| Field / Button | Description |
|---|
| OHRS Provincial Sector Code (For Newly-Selected Departments) | Provincial sector code applied to departments newly mapped. Starts as 901. |
| OHRS Functional Centre Segment 1 Fund Type (For Newly-Selected Departments) | Fund type applied to newly mapped departments. Choose 2 or 3. Starts as 2. |
| Name / Mapped? | Department name and a check box showing whether it is mapped to this centre. |
| Select All / Clear All | Tick or untick every department in the list. |
| Save | Saves the mapping. Disabled when departments are newly ticked and the provincial sector code or fund type is empty. |
| Cancel | Closes without saving. |
On Save, each newly ticked department is mapped to the centre with the chosen provincial sector code and fund type. Each department that was mapped and is now unticked has its centre, provincial sector code, and fund type cleared. Departments that were already mapped and stay ticked are not changed. If the update fails, "Update Failed" is shown.
